This batch of Dyed FAST Fibre roving is the fleece from a herd of Huacaya Alpaca from Iris Lodge Alpacas in Jilliby on the NSW Central Coast, 10km from our shed. The fibres are soft and beautiful (it has not been micron tested). We have dyed the fibre by hand with Australian-developed and -blended Landscapes Dyes. Our roving colours are named after the colours of dyes we used. The dye colours are repeatable, but the dye lot will vary; we advise that you purchase enough of a colour for your project.

FAST (Fibre Arts Shed Traceable) Fibre for Slow Craft is our initiative to make available to our customers locally grown and traceable wool and alpaca fibres. Sourced and processed by us in small batch runs at the Fibre Arts Shed on the NSW Central Coast, each collection will include as much information about the origin and breed of the fibres as we have. The fibre has been through a thorough washing process but may still contain a small amount of VM (vegetable matter, i.e., grass). These bits are easily flicked out when spinning or felting.

To support our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every lot of FAST Fibre to the Yerin Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Health Centre, which plays a vital role in our community. Yerin has been providing primary health care to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community on the Central Coast for more than 25 years.

**Note: we have tried our best to capture the colour of these braids accurately. Colour may vary by monitor/screen. The Iris (purple) braid was particularly tricky to photograph - it is a solid colour of brilliant purple (NOT the variegated purple-pink in the photo - something about that colour made it incredibly tricky to photograph!)**
