Tussar silk, also called Tussah or Tassar silk, is a wild Indian silk. It has a slightly rougher texture than Eri Silk.
Mulberry silk, also known as Bombyx silk, is a higher quality silk than the Tussah. Mulberry is much finer than the Tussah and the individual strands are longer. Mulberry is always more vibrant and lustrous.
When the Tussar and Mulberry silks are spun together, the result is fantastic. This bulky yarn is fabulously rustic in appearance, highly textured and has a blend of rich natural colours.
100g is approximately 51 metres in length.
